Drake’s Estero is one of the most stunning places to paddle on the California coast. Departing from the former Drake’s Bay Oyster Co., we’ll glide by mudflats and through the eelgrass of this wilderness estuary. You might see harbor seals, bat rays, leopard sharks, and many bird species such as osprey, geese, white pelicans, loons, grebes, shorebirds and a variety of hawks. This tour is 4 or 6 hours.
Over 400 species of birds have been recorded here in the Point Reyes area, making it one of the bird watching havens in the country. Fall and winter are great times to bird watch from a kayak in Tomales Bay. Join BWK and local renowned naturalist David Wimpfheimer on this fun and educational tour.
